“Gravity,” “Children of Men” and “Roma” filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron has signed an overall, multi-year deal with Apple. As part of the deal, Cuaron will create and develop new television projects exclusively for the upcoming Apple TV+ service.
Cuarón will also maintain his nonexclusive deal with Anonymous Content and will partner with them on select projects while also continuing to produce other projects with different collaborators.
Apple beat out multiple bidders to snag Cuaron who now joins a line-up that includes the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Sesame Workshop and other filmmakers. Apple TV+ launches November 1st.
