“Reacher” Season 4 Dominates Ratings Charts

Amazon

Don’t expect Amazon Prime Video to give up on its “Reacher” TV series anytime soon, as the show continues to do viewership numbers that are the envy of almost everyone else.

The series premiered its fourth season on August 12th and immediately shot to the No. 1 overall streaming title in the United States, according to Nielsen, with 1.5 billion minutes watched that week (August 10th-16th) thanks to the first three episodes launching at once.

In the weeks after, Nielsen has implemented a new system that has allowed them to shrink the window of reporting on streaming ratings from its previous 28-day lag down to just 11 days.

As a result, Nielsen released several weekly ratings at once, going through the week of September 7th-13th.

Except for the week of August 24th-30th, when the final season of “Outer Banks” premiered on Netflix, “Reacher” has held the top spot for the last five weeks with over 1 billion minutes watched each week.

To put that in perspective with other series releasing weekly episodes, shows like HBO Max’s “Lanterns” and Apple TV’s “Silo” have been generating around 500 million minutes watched each week.
