Rockstar Games has announced a $400 merchandise box for its upcoming “Grand Theft Auto VI” – one that doesn’t have a copy of the game itself.
Named “The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection”, the collector’s box holds eleven pieces of merchandise mainly inspired by the in-universe “Macca the Gator” TV series.
For that money, you’re getting a pair of sunglasses, a fanny pack, a figurine, cap, mirror, shot glass, spoon, keychain, enamel pins, stickers and a poster. That’s it.
The full list is as follows:
– GTA VI Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses
– A Leonida Keys crossbody bag
– A 6-inch Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment
– A New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback hat
– A Macca the Gator magnetic mirror
– A Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
– A Vice City swizzle spoon
– A Vice City razor blade keychain
– Nine Leonida Keys enamel pins in a metal tin
– Stickers in a stash bag
– A double-sided poster with a full map of Leonida on the back
it is by far the most expensive Rockstar collector’s edition to exist and fans have quickly taken to social media and do not seem happy with it.
Comparisons are being drawn to other Rockstar collector’s editions like GTAV and “Red Dead Redemption II”, the latter costing just $100 at the time.
