“Skywalker” Now The Worst Reviewed “Wars”

Skywalker Rules At Xmas Day Box Office

The final Rotten Tomatoes score for “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” has been settled and the J.J. Abrams-directed film appears to have sunk further.

With 471 reviews counted, the film sits at 52% – dropping below “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” to become the worst-reviewed live-action “Star Wars” film ever.

Word-of-mouth on the film has also proven somewhat lukewarm with the repeat business dropoff losing audience members faster – the film took 26 days to reach $1 billion, a week more than ‘Last Jedi’ and two weeks more than ‘Force Awakens’.

On IMDb, the movie sits at a 6.9/10, below both ‘Force Awakens’ (7.9), ‘Rogue One’ (7.8) and ‘Last Jedi’ (7.0) and on par with “Solo” (6.9), but above the first two prequels (6.5 each). The recent “The Mandalorian” TV series, on the other hand, sits on a stellar 8.8/10.
