“Pluribus” Season 2 Filming Gets Underway

Apple TV

Filming has officially begun in Albuquerque, New Mexico on the second season of Apple TV’s acclaimed sci-fi drama “Pluribus”.

While Apple TV ordered two seasons of the series from the get go, it has taken time for work to get underway on the show’s second season which is now shooting almost one year after the first season went to air.

That first season scored widespread critical acclaim along with six Emmy wins including a best actress honor for Rhea Seehorn and a writing one for series creator Vince Gilligan. It also became Apple TV’s most-watched series ever with big early viewing numbers.

The start news comes from a Production List report (via 9to5mac.com) published earlier this month which indicated pre-production was well underway and shooting kicked off on October 31st.

That fits with Gilligan’s comments in September which indicated a late October/early November start date. Apple hasn’t locked down a release window for the second season.

The genre-bending original series sees the most miserable person on Earth trying to save it from happiness.
