Neve Campbell Returns For “Scream 8”

Paramount Pictures

Actress Neve Campbell has confirmed that she’s returning as Sidney Prescott in an eighth “Scream” film at Paramount Pictures.

Campbell stars in the second season of Netflix’s spy thriller series “Black Doves,” which returns this month, and appeared at a premiere event for the new season.

Speaking with the Associated Press about what she’s working on next, she responded: “I’ve got two shows I’m developing, one I’ve sold. ‘Scream 8’ you know, that’s in the pipeline as well.”

Asked to tell us about “Scream 8,” she laughed and said: “You know I can never tell you anything about ‘Scream 8’… I’ll be in it.”

At last report back in March, Spyglass hired “Poker Face” showrunners Lilla and Nora Zuckerman to pen the script. At the time there was no word which characters the eighth entry would focus on.

Despite the worst reviews of the franchise, “Scream 7” was also the highest-grossing – taking in over $200 million at the global box-office. Kevin Williamson directed that entry.
