I Play Rocky
Peter Farrelly’s crowd-pleaser “I Play Rocky,” about Sylvester Stallone’s attempts to make the 1976 classic film “Rocky,” has been submitted for Golden Globes consideration as a musical/comedy film rather than a drama.

The Amazon MGM Studios title has some funny moments, but has not been advertised as a comedy. It marks just the latest unexpected categorisation at the gloves following both “Obsession” and “Artificial” also being dubbed musical/comedy films. [Source: THR]

Jack of Spades
Netflix has set plans for a Fall 2027 theatrical release for the Coen Brothers’ gothic mystery film “Jack of Spades”. Joel Coen directs from a script he co-wrote with Ethan Coen, Eleanor Catton and Conor McPherson.

The project deals with “intrigue and betrayal set in the Scottish Highlands” in the 1880s and is based on Frances Frederica Montrésor’s 1901 novel “The Alien: A Story of Middle Age”. Josh O’Connor, Patsy Ferran, Lesley Manville and Damian Lewis star. [Source: Deadline]

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth
A 1970s-style poster for David Fincher’s “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth” has been released. This poster is official, unlike one that circled online a few weeks back that turned out to be fan-made.

It comes just over three weeks out from the movie’s opening on November 25th on just 200 domestic screens after Regal and Cinemark decided to boycott the film and pull it from about 150 IMAX screens. Around 523 IMAX screens worldwide are getting the film…oddly though not Australia at the moment according to What’s on Netflix.
