Filmmaker Matt Reeves has teased a big reveal for “War for the Planet of the Apes,” the third film in the rebooted “Planet of the Apes” franchise, to come this Sunday.
Reeves is directing from a script he co-wrote with Mark Bomback, and he dropped the movie’s official logo in a tweet a few hours ago. He also suggests that you tune in to this Sunday’s episode of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” for a special announcement.
As the film isn’t due to open until July 14th 2017, it certainly won’t be the first trailer – we’re a good year away from that yet. Instead, it will likely be a featurette of some kind.
Filming on the project bagan a month ago and in this entry, a fragile peace has been achieved between the humans and Caesar’s growing nation of genetically evolved apes.
And something else begins… Tune in to @WalkingDead_AMC Sunday night for a special #WarForTheApes announcement… pic.twitter.com/4X2Yt3wP7g
