Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Sony Pictures and exhibitors have reportedly agreed to extend the exclusive theatrical window for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” through until November 16th, according to Global Box-Office. It marks the longest exclusive theatrical window for a Sony film since the previous “Spider-Man” movie.

The title remains a powerhouse in cinemas. While the planned disc release was expected to happen on November 17th, that date has been removed from listings since this was announced. Most likely, it will now be the digital date, with the discs to follow later.

NAZA
Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor’s investigative documentary “NAZA,” has set a September 30th release date at IFC in New York City. It will expand to Los Angeles and other key markets on October 9th ahead of a nationwide rollout in the following weeks. The movie, which deals with whistleblowers within the Israel Defense Forces, earned a record-breaking 25-minute standing ovation at the recent Venice Film Festival. [Source: Deadline]

The Origin of the World
Lily McInerny (“Bonjour Tristesse,” “Palm Trees and Power Lines”) has reportedly replaced Sadie Soverall as the female lead in Brady Corbet’s new film “The Origin of the World” which is currently shooting in Portugal.

Soverall was seemingly let go after briefly filming on the project, no reason has been given. Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett, Selena Gomez and Joe Alwyn co-star in the indie film which deals with American mysticism and the history of the occult in America. [Source: World of Reel

Street Fighter
With tickets going on sale on Monday, Paramount Pictures has revealed a new poster for the upcoming “Street Fighter” movie. The one-sheet includes the full collection of World Warriors with Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and M. Bison in frame.

There’s also some nods to the iconic cover art from the original arcade and console versions of the games. In the film, Chun-Li brings old friends Ryu and Ken Masters back together to team and defeat M. Bison’s Shadaloo criminal organisation.
