Disney has announced a November 22nd 7pm premiere for “The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar,” a primetime TV movie continuation of “The Lion King” on the Disney Channel.
The story follows Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard. Said ‘Guard’ is a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands.
The TV movie acts as a pilot for the upcoming “The Lion Guard” TV series which premieres early 2016 on Disney Channels and Disney Junior channels around the globe.
