Star Wars: Jedi 3
Respawn Entertainment is reportedly currently recruiting team members for what is presumed to be a third title in the Cal Kestis-led “Star Wars: Jedi” game series following 2019’s ‘Fallen Order’ and this year’s sequel ‘Survivor’.
The studio is reportedly seeking to hire a principal game writer and a senior VFX artist to work on new content for the action-adventure series and lists Unreal Engine 5 experience as ‘a big plus’ in the job description.
‘Survivor’ was released with significant bugs and performance issues at launch, but nevertheless was reviewed very well and sold strongly for EA. [Source: VGC]
Netflix
Netflix has added the ability for users to port their profile from one account to another existing account – preserving personalized recommendations, viewing history, My List, saved games and more. Previously, members were only able to transfer a profile to a brand-new account. The new capability has now been rolled out worldwide. [Source: Variety]
The Flash
Warner Bros. Home Video has announced “The Flash” will be officially coming to purchase on digital and PVOD on July 17th, and will then be followed by its home video release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 15th.
Both digital and physical releases of the film include deleted scenes and a ton of featurettes about the film’s making. The film has earned a worldwide gross of over $260 million against a reported budget of around $200 million. [Source: WBHV]
Gex Trilogy
Limited Run Games, which specializes in physical releases of indie games and re-releases of classic games, have announced the Gex Trilogy for all platforms.
The Carbon Engine has been used to rebuild Crystal Dynamics’ “Gex,” “Gex: Enter the Gecko” and “Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko” for modern platforms. The games were a James Bond spoof involving a gecko, and a trailer for it makes fun of the original teaser trailer for “Goldeneye” from 1995.
The Wheel of Time
Prime Video has revealed the new poster for the upcoming second season of its fantasy series “The Wheel of Time,” which returns to the service from September 1st.
The new season will adapt the second and a bunch of the third books in Robert Jordan’s fantasy series. Episodes run longer, and the tone is said to be darker and more brutal.
