“Krypton” star Cameron Cuffe and “A Dog’s Way Home” actor Jonah Hauer-King are reportedly testing to take on the role of Prince Eric in Disney’s live-action “The Little Mermaid” film.
The potential casting comes a month after former One Direction band member Harry Styles passed on the major role in the live-action Disney project.
Halle Bailey will portray Ariel in the film alongside Javier Bardem as her father, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Awkwafina as Scuttle, and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
“Mary Poppins Returns” director Rob Marshall will helm the film which features a script by that film’s scribe David Magee. Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken are teaming to create a blend of old and new songs.
