Sony PlayStation’s latest State of Play video hit today and sadly it seems Warner Bros. Games Montreal did NOT announce a new “Batman: Arkham” game as had been hoped.
That doesn’t mean the event was a waste though as Sony set a February 21st 2020 release date for Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated “The Last of Us Part II”.
In the new game Ellie is now 19 and has found a semblance of peace and normality living in Jackson. She’s had a chance to be a teenager and forge lasting relationships.
When that peace is disrupted by a violent act, Ellie is thrust into a brutal journey of retribution, fuelled by a need to bring those that have wronged her to justice, pushing her to her very limits.
Naughty Dog calls it their “most ambitious and longest game in our 35 year history”.
Sony also announced “Rez” and “Tetris Effect” studio Enhance’s new game title “Humanity” which looks like a modern interpretation of “Lemmings” and will also have an optional PlayStation VR mode.
Other announcements include that “Death Stranding” is getting its own limited edition PS4 Pro bundle, the cute looking “Wattam” is coming in December, “Civilization VI” is coming to the console November 22nd, and there are new trailers for the remake of PS1 game “MediEvil” and the campaign mode of the upcoming “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”.
