Robert Pattinson Talks The Batman Pressure

Actor Robert Pattinson has joked that he’ll do “porn, but art house porn” should his work on Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” not work out.

Speaking with The Guardian about the pressure of taking on one of the big screen’s most iconic roles, he says he opted to do it because: “I felt a connection to it, I don’t know why… I just really wanted it”. He adds that role has a certain ‘power’ and “everyone is attracted to it. It’s an unidentifiable thing.”

More interestingly he says he’s already over being asked questions about it, especially as he hasn’t made it yet: “I’m already remembering what it’s like to talk about a movie where there’s an expectation. Whenever you say anything, people are like, ‘Argh! You idiot!’ Like, dude, I haven’t even started yet!…. But there is no harsher critic of myself than myself, so I don’t need to worry about anyone else.”

Filming begins early next year for a release June 25th 2021.
