Amazon has opted to cancel its comedy series “The Tick” after two seasons.
Series creator Ben Edlund announced the news on Twitter, confirming there won’t be a third season on Amazon but tells EW that he’s seeking a new home for this series and it’s “very much still alive”.
He adds: “we’re still under contract, and actively trying to find a new place to keep the show going! Fan demand is really what has the power to push us over the edge right now, so please be loud! It’s time to #SaveTheTick!”
The Tick revelled in a world where superheroes and villains have been real for decades. Arthur, an unassuming accountant with no superpowers, becomes embroiled in the middle of the battle between good and evil with the help of mysterious new ally, The Tick, who is a bizarre blue superhero who may just be a figment of Arthur’s imagination.
Peter Serafinowicz and Griffin Newman starred in the series which just premiered its second season last month on Prime Video.
