Mabrouk El Mechri (“JCVD”) has been hired to direct the thriller “The Cold Light of Day” for Summit Entertainment and Intrepid Pictures says Variety.
The story follows a young Wall Street trader whose family is kidnapped on a vacation to Spain. With only hours to find them, he uncovers a dangerous conspiracy behind their abduction which relates to something in his father’s dark past.
Richard Price will perform a re-write on Scott Wiper and John Petro’s script. Filming kicks off this June in Spain.
