Paramount+ has premiered the first trailer for “Frisco King,” the upcoming spin-off of the Sylvester Stallone-led and Taylor Sheridan-produced “Tulsa King” series.
After guesting on the latter series, Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role here as seasoned New Orleans gangster Russell Lee Washington Jr.
Washington Jr. heads to Frisco, Texas where he quickly realises the respectable suburbs are full of people with money, ambition, and probably a few things they’d rather keep quiet. Beneath all those polished surfaces, he finds a hustler’s paradise.
Soon, he recruits an ambitious protégé, a loyal driver, and an increasingly oddball collection of associates to turn small scams into a much bigger business. Naturally, making money is easy. Keeping it, and staying alive, is another matter.
Co-starring are Asa Germann (“Gen V”), Kai Caster (“Yellowstone”), Lilah Pate (“Outer Banks”), and Savanna Gann (“English Teacher”) with Stallone guest-starring. Jackson, Stallone, and Sheridan executive produce alongside David C. Glasser.
Sheridan pens the series while Christina Alexandra Voros directs the pilot and three other episodes. Michael Friedman directs the other four episodes of the Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios-produced show.
“Frisco King” premieres December 18th on Paramount+ with two episodes and a weekly rollout to follow.
