CBS Films have announced that they’ve secured exclusive rights to Marie Lu’s upcoming futuristic thriller novel “Legend” as well as any sequels or spinoffs.
The story is set in a future when North America has split into two warring nations. The story follows Day, a young Robin Hood, and June, the teen prodigy hired to hunt him down; together they uncover an impossible truth about their totalitarian leaders.
Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey (“The Twilight Saga,” “Dear John”) will produce. Lu, who has planned the series out as a trilogy, will be involved at the scripting phase as an executive producer. The books themselves will be published in November.
