Hilary Swank and Tom Wilkinson are attached to star in the fact-based courtroom drama “Denial” for Krasnoff/Foster Entertainment, Shoebox Films, Participant Media and BBC Films.
Based on Deborah E. Lipstadt’s book “History on Trial,” Swank will play Lipstadt who found herself in a legal battle with Nazi apologist David Irving. Irving accused her of libel when she declared him a Holocaust denier.
Wilkinson will play a barrister in the film. Mick Jackson (“The Bodyguard”) directs from a script by David Hare (“The Hours,” “The Reader”). Gary Foster and Russ Krasnoff will produce.
