Happy Feet
A stage musical version of George Miller’s 2006 animated penguin jukebox musical “Happy Feet” is on the way. Tony Award-winning producer Dori Berinstein (“Legally Blonde,” “The Prom”) and Tony Award-winning director Michael Arden (“Maybe Happy Ending,” “Parade”) are teaming for the project. Kockroach
Alec Baldwin is set to join Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton and Zazie Beetz in the New York crime feature “Kockroach” which hails from “Captain Fantastic” filmmaker Matt Ross and “You Were Never Really Here” scribe Jonathan Ames.

Based on the William Lashner novel, the story follows a mysterious stranger who takes on New York’s criminal underworld – transforming himself into a larger-than-life crime boss in a city where power is everything. Shooting begins in April. [Source: Deadline]

Vought Rising
James Wolk (“Watchmen”), Dylan Arnold (“Lady in the Lake”), Josh Randall (“Station 19”) and Chad Willett (“Supernatural”) have landed key recurring roles in “The Boys” prequel series “Vought Rising” at Amazon Prime Video. Details on their characters are under wraps.

They join series leads Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash reprising their roles, Soldier Boy and Stormfront, from the mothership series. Paul Grellong serves as executive producer and showrunner. [Source: Deadline]

Mother Mary
New posters are out for David Lowery’s new film “Mother Mary” which A24 will release this year. Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel lead the film which also stars Hunter Schafer, Atheena Frizzell, Kaia Gerber, Jessica Brown Findlay, Isaura Barbé-Brown, Alba Baptista, Sian Clifford, and FKA Twigs.

The film deals with the toxic relationship of a famed musician and an original fashion designer whose creations propelled the singer to stardom, and then was left hung out to dry. Years later, the singer returns to the designer’s workshop, begging to work with her again.

Look Behind You
“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” filmmaker Nia DaCosta teams with “Heated Rivalry” star Connor Storrie for “Look Behind You,” a five-minute short film that serves as a Verizon ad and tribute to both classic horror home invader features as well as Storrie’s own glutes which play a key role in the narrative.
