Futurama
Hulu has announced it will ditch weekly drops for new episodes of “Futurama,” with the upcoming thirteenth season set to release all ten episodes at once on September 15th. The streamer released the eleventh and twelfth seasons in weekly new episode rollouts and made the Top 10 Streaming Originals of 2024, per Nielsen. [Source: Deadline]
Evil Dead Burn
Filming has officially begun on “Evil Dead Burn,” the next entry in the horror franchise and one that presently doesn’t have any serious connnection to previous entries in the series. French filmmaker Sébastien Vaniček (“Infested”) directs the film and co-writes with Florent Bernard.
He confirmed on Instagram that cameras have begun rolling on the film which stars Hunter Doohan, Souheila Yacoub, Luciane Buchanan, and Tandi Wright. Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Lee Cronin are producing with the film hitting cinemas July 24th. [Source: Instagram]
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Ubisoft’s “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” is getting a major update that will add a third-person mode to the game on for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC starting on December 5th – two weeks ahead of the new film. The update will also introduce the highly requested New Game+ mode.
Developer Massive Entertainment has reportedly reworked animations, controls, audio, and camera systems to ensure the experience feels seamless and intuitive in third person. Several quality-of-life updates will be implemented as well including a smoother 40 fps mode, and rebalanced combat.
Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu
The first teaser has been released for Aardman Animation’s “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu,” a new stop motion animated series to debut in 2027.
“Wallace and Gromit” creators Aardman are teaming with The Pokémon Company on the series which will debut in 2027. The show will be set in the Galar region from Pokémon Sword and Shield.
