Kaiju No. 8
Sony Pictures is reportedly developing a live-action adaptation of Naoya Matsumoto’s manga and anime series “Kaiju No. 8,” according to scooper DanielRPK. No names are attached, and it’s not clear if it is a movie or a series.
The story follows Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old stuck cleaning up monster guts for a living, who gains the power to turn into a kaiju himself and finally joins Japan’s anti-kaiju Defense Force. [Source: Cosmic Book News]
The End of the World As We Know It
Jack O’Connell and Odessa A’zion will star in “An Irish Goodbye” filmmakers Ross White and Tom Berkeley’s new film “The End of the World as We Know It” at Studiocanal, Working Title, Parkville Pictures and Film4.
The pair play star-crossed loners who meet on an epic pilgrimage to prove the earth is flat. Shooting begins in Canada in November, and Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner produce. [Source: Variety]
