John Cena and David Harbour are set to team up for the new comedy-thriller feature “The Family Disappears” at Fifth Season (“East of Eden,” “The Good Daughter”).
The story follows an overworked dad who returns from a work trip to find his family has disappeared. In their place, a mysterious newcomer has bought and moved into their home.
Swedish filmmaker Jonatan Etzler (“Bad Apples”) directs the project while Brendan O’Hare penned the original script.
Nick Weidenfeld and Alexis Garcia (“Friendship”) will produce the project. Filming begins in Atlanta, Georgia on November 10th.
Harbour is coming off multiple Emmy winner “DTF St. Louis” on HBO and his five season stint on Netflix’s “Stranger Things”. He has multiple films on the way including “Avengers: Doomsday,” “John Rambo,” “Violent Night 2,” “Evil Genius,” “Little One” and “A Head Full of Ghosts”.
Cena is currently in cinemas with “Coyote vs. Acme,” has “Matchbox the Movie” launching on apple TV Friday, and has been on Netflix recently with “Little Brother” and the upcoming “One Attempt Remaining”.
