Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Isabelle Huppert will reportedly star in master genre filmmaker Dario Argento’s new horror feature.
Chaos Reign (via World of Reel) reports that Huppert was in attendance at the Lucca Film Festival in Tuscany during the final week of September where she received an award.
She revealed to media during her appearance that she’ll soon shoot Argento’s next film which was to shoot this Spring but was postponed after the filmmaker suffered a fall that led to him fracturing a femur.
Argento’s works like “Suspiria,” “Deep Red” and “The Bird with the Crystal Plumage,” and Huppert says (translated):
“I’m very happy to make this film with him, he’s such a strange and original director, but for the moment, I can’t say anything more.”
The film is said to be a loose remake of a classic 1940s Mexican film, but it’s not clear which one. Argento most recently filmed “Dark Glasses”.
