Zendaya has signed on to join “Ex Machina” and “Civil War” writer/director Alex Garland’s next film at A24.
Currently untitled, the sci-fi project is set to film next year and plot specifics are very much under wraps.
This will mark Zendaya’s third collaboration with A24 following their work together on HBO’s “Euphoria” across three seasons, along with the dark “The Drama” co-starring Robert Pattinson.
Garland, who has penned the “28 Days Later” and “28 Years Later” films, “Sunshine,” “Dredd,” “Annihilation,” and “Warfare,” most recently shot the film adaptation of the popular video game “Elden Ring” which stars Kit Connor and Cailee Spaeny.
That has been in post-production since August and is expected to continue into next year. This project, his sixth with A24, will be his next film.
Zendaya starred in two of the year’s biggest films with “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “The Odyssey,” along with the upcoming “Dune: Part Three”.
