Affleck On Wonder Woman Cameo In “Flash”

Warner Bros. Pictures

With multiverse spanning DC Comics adaptation “The Flash” film finally arriving in June, actor/filmmaker Ben Affleck has revealed some new details about a cameo by Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman character.

Said cameo reportedly was cut from the film months ago and follows in the wake of her “Shazam” sequel cameo which did make the theatrical release.

Affleck appeared on the popular podcast Smartless with Sean Hayes, Will Arnett and Jason Bateman and revealed that the scene in question sees Affleck’s Batman having been caught by some bad guys and is then saved by Wonder Woman.

He goes on to say Wonder Woman saves Batman in the sequence with the help of her Lasso of Truth and “so what happens is that Batman divulges some of his real feelings about his life and his work.”

Affleck, who makes his final appearance in The Flash, says his work in the film is his best yet as “I finally figured out how to play the guy”. The Andy Muschietti-directed film stars Ezra Miller as the titular speedster alongside Michael Keaton back as Batman, Michael Shannon back as General Zod and Sasha Callee as Supergirl.

“The Flash” is set to open in cinemas on June 16th.
