Actress Elizabeth Olsen doesn’t know if she and her Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch character will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet.
If she does though, the actress says she hopes her character gets a redemption arc following her villainous send-off in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.
We last saw the character at the base of a collapsing building, sacrificing herself to destroy the sorcery book the Darkhold which had influenced her and turned her to a darker path following the events of “WandaVision”. Throughout the ‘Strange’ sequel, she was a straight up villain.
Yet fans often have discussed how they don’t believe she’s dead. Speaking with Screen Rant recently, Olsen says:
Certainly with Marvel fully embracing the multiverse concept, the possibility of her return in a slightly different and more jovial form is there. Marvel’s Kevin Feige last year indicated in interviews they hadn’t touched many of the character’s storylines from the comics and Marvel Studios would be keen to work with Olsen again.
Olsen previously teased she might return in some capacity in the currently filming “WandaVision” spin-off series “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” which isn’t due out for some time.
