Universal Pictures is set to release the extended first trailer for “Fast X” in the morning, specifically at 8am US-PT/11am US-ET. Ahead of that, the film has announced that tickets for the feature are now on sale along with releasing some new photos.
The shots, first published by Empire, show off first glimpses of Jason Momoa’s flamboyant villain, along with Brie Larson’s undisclosed role. A third shot shows the return of Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto.
The tenth entry in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, the Louis Leterrier-helmed film serves as the first of a two-parter closing out the main franchise. Specifics of the plot are under wraps, though the trailer tomorrow should offer a better idea of what story we can expect.
The film is said to sport an eye-watering production budget of around $340 million – making it the most expensive non-Disney film ever and 70% larger than the prior entry “F9”.
Returnees include Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, John Cena, Charlize Theron, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Michael Rooker and Scott Eastwood.
Joining the series for the first time are Daniela Melchior (“The Suicide Squad”), Rita Moreno (“West Side Story”) and Alan Ritchson (“Reacher”). Filming on “Fast X” took place across London, Rome, Turin, Lisbon, and Los Angeles, and the film will hit cinemas on May 19th.
A series of ‘Legacy Trailers’ for the prior nine films in the series are up on the official YouTube channel of the franchise.
