Amazon’s acclaimed and multi-award-winning series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” will end with its fifth season, which has just wrapped production.
Series star Rachel Brosnahan, who plays housewife turned comedienne Midge Maisel in the series, posted a farewell to the character she has played for five years along with a wrap image of her character walking away.
The series hails from “Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and followed Jewish housewife Maisel, who is living on the Upper West Side in 1958. She and members of her family go on intersecting journeys to self-fulfilment.
Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub, Jane Lynch, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Kevin Pollak, and Luke Kirby co-starred. Sherman-Palladino is already moving on to her next series, which is currently casting.
