Disney has premiered a trailer for its upcoming TV series “The Santa Clauses,” a new take on the Tim Allen-led franchise with the actor back to reprise his role as cynical toy salesman-turned-jolly ol’ gift-deliverer Scott Calvin.
Serving as a sequel to the three films made from 1994 to 2006, this sees Scott realising his 65th birthday is right around the corner and the time has come for him to pass his Santa hat to someone else.
So he sets out from the North Pole in search of his successor. Jack Burditt (“Last Man Standing”) is serving as show-runner and an executive producer.
The series hasn’t set its launch date as yet.
