SEGA is reportedly working on big-budget reboots of their iconic video games “Crazy Taxi” and “Jet Set Radio” (aka. “Jet Grind Radio”) according to Bloomberg.

The report says the two titles will be the first titles in SEGA’s new five-year ‘Super Game’ strategy and both are still in the early stages of creation so could yet be cancelled – though ‘Taxi’ has already been in development for over a year.

“Fortnite” is being seen as a template for what it intends to achieve with these games – free-to-play multi-system, multiplayer titles with various items and events designed to encourage microtransactions. A 2024 or 2025 release is being targeted.

That’s not the only development news today as Gearbox has announced that it is working on a new “Tales from the Borderlands” game which will be published by 2K later this year. More details about the game will be shared this summer.
