Oscar-winner Frances McDormand will team with filmmaker Sarah Polley for “Women Talking,” Polley’s first new film since 2012’s “Stories We Tell”.
Setup at Orion Pictures and Plan B, Polley will write and direct this feature adaptation of Miriam Toews’ bestselling novel based on a real-life event.
The story follows a group of women in an isolated religious colony as they struggle to reconcile their faith with a series of horrific sexual assaults committed by the colony’s men. The book was published in 2018.
