The 2020 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival is still going ahead though this year sports a reduced program along with its coalition with other festivals like Telluride, Venice and NYFF.
The first five days of the event will host physical screenings starting from September 10th and today a list of the first wave of films to screen have arrived.
Notable inclusions this year are “God’s Own Country” helmer Francis Lee’s “Ammonite,” Thomas Vinterberg’s “Another Round,” Spike Lee’s concert film “David Byrne’s American Utopia,” Florian Zeller’s “The Father,” Werner Herzog’s doco “Fireball: Visitors from Darker Worlds,” Chloe Zhao’s “Nomadland,” Mira Nair’s “A Suitable Boy” and films directed by actors Regina King, Viggo Mortensen and Halle Berry.
The 45th Toronto International Film Festival runs September 10th-19th.
