While “Tenet” is on its way in late August around much of the world and early September in the United States, Warner Bros. Pictures is still proceeding with its planned “Inception” theatrical re-release two weeks prior.
As a result, that 2010 Chris Nolan film will be released on August 12th in select countries and August 21st in the United States and with it will come a couple of promised extras. Today, Trailer Track has revealed those extras thanks to a breakdown from a Denmark cinema, a list that a Portugal theater has subsequently confirmed.
Those extras? The first trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune,” a new trailer for “Wonder Woman 1984,” a near four minute “Tenet” sneak peak (the reel initially intended to screen at the ultimately cancelled CinemaCon 2020), and a special introduction from Christopher Nolan and four-minute featurette about “Inception” made specifically for this re-release.
Countries confirmed for the re-release at present are: Germany, Italy, Australia, Spain, Singapore, UK, Ireland, France, Belgium and South Korea.
Online release plans for the new “Dune” and “Wonder Woman 1984” trailers have yet to be announced. The latter will likely hold off and launch with the DC FanDome event on August 22nd, but the former will likely go earlier so as to avoid pirate copies popping up on YouTube. Both trailers are also expected to be attached to “Tenet” as well.
