Kojima, Junji Ito May Team On Horror Game?

Iconic Japanese horror author Junji Ito (“Uzumaki,” “Tomie”) has revealed that similarly legendary “Metal Gear Solid” and “Death Stranding” creator Hideo Kojima recently contacted him about working together on a new horror game.

Ito gave an interview at Comic-Con@Home 2020 and was asked if he was currently working on a video game project. Ito says through a translator that he currently isn’t, but adds he has been in contact with Kojima about a possible horror game:

“I do know director Kojima and we have been in conversation that he may have a horror-based game that he may be doing, and so he has invited me to work on that, but there are no details on it yet.”

Ito didn’t divulge any further details. In April, Kojima expressed interest in making a “revolutionary” horror game. He was linked to the canceled “Silent Hills” game with rumors cropping up recently of its potential revival.

The closest that project came to fruition was “P.T.”, the now legendary PS3 short demo game that has scored rave reviews for its genuine creepiness.
