“God Particle,” the Bad Robot produced sci-fi movie that has since been effectively revealed to be a third “Cloverfield” movie, has been delayed by a whopping eight months.
Originally slated for February 24th, the movie will now open October 27th – opening opposite the upcoming eighth “Saw” movie. Funnily enough both films have yet to receive their final titles. This would also suggest the first trailer for the film will be attached to copies of Paramount’s “Transformers: The Last Knight” in June.
The story is set on an American space station where, after an accident with a particle accelerator, the crew suddenly finds that Earth has vanished altogether and they have picked up traces of another space station nearby.
David Oyelowo, John Krasinski, Elizabeth Debicki, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris O’Dowd, Ziyi Zhang and Daniel Bruhl co-star. Julius Onah helms the film from a script by Oren Uziel and Doug Jung.
