Filmmaker Rian Johnson has confirmed that he has tweaked the facial scar of actor Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren character in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”.
The ending of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” saw Kylo Ren left with a great big facial scar left by Rey’s lightsaber. The scar ran down his forehead, across the bridge of his nose and down his inner cheek and we only saw it for all of a few seconds.
In the trailer launch for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” the other day, the scar had moved – becoming smaller and now sitting above Kylo Ren’s right eyebrow. Johnson, responding to a tweet question from a fan, said on Twitter:
“It was my decision to slightly adjust it, and that was my justification. It honestly looked goofy running straight up the bridge of his nose.”
In more amusing news, actor John Boyega revealed to MTV he is very aware of the fanfiction and fanart that’s been created painting his character Finn and Oscar Isaac’s character Poe as lovers and offered the best kind of response to it:
“I know about FinnPoe. There’s many erotic images that I have received, and I appreciate all support for Finn and his butt cheeks.”
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” complete with Kylo Ren’s new scar and more scenes for the FinnPoe shippers will open in cinemas in December.
