The other week actor Martin Lawrence confirmed on Instagram that he will once again return to the “Bad Boys” franchise with co-star Will Smith for a third film. Today, new details of the film’s shoot have gone online.
Production Weekly reports that the project, going by the official title of “Bad Boys For Lif3,” is scheduled to begin production on January 14th and is expected to wrap by April 11th with Atlanta and Miami the two locations where the film will shoot.
The new ‘Boys’ will be directed by Adi El Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a script penned by Chris Bremner. No other cast members are presently listed but announcements on that front are expected imminently.
A previously rumored synopsis claims Lawrence’s Marcus Burnett is now a P.I. and Smith’s Mike Lowery is having a bachelor midlife crisis, with the pair coming together when a large bounty is placed on their heads by a lean, mean, skilled Albanian mercenary whose brother they killed.
Jerry Bruckheimer, Melissa Reid, Chad Oman and Doug Belgrad will produce the film currently slated for a January 17th 2020 release. Sony has not confirmed either the film’s title or synopsis at present.
