No Chance of Recovery for Tom Sizemore

Actor Tom Sizemore’s family is reportedly set to make an end-of-life decision for the actor shortly.

61-year-old Sizemore has been in critical condition and in a coma at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank for over a week. The “Heat” and “Saving Private Ryan” actor was found at his Los Angeles home unconscious and tests revealed he had suffered a brain aneurysm from a stroke.

In a statement Monday, Sizemore’s representative Charles Lago said doctors have informed his family that there is no longer a chance for his recovery. Family is now deciding end-of-life matters.

Lago added: “We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time, and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.”

Sizemore’s credits also include “Black Hawk Down,” “The Relic,” “Born on the Fourth of July,” “Natural Born Killers,” “Point Break,” “Wyatt Earp,” “True Romance,” “Enemy of the State,” “Strange Days,” “Dreamcatcher,” “Blue Steel,” “Bringing Out the Dead,” “Red Planet,” “Passenger 57,” “Devil in a Blue Dress,” “Flight of the Intruder,” “Striking Distance,” “Get Carter,” “Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man,” and the “Twin Peaks” revival among many others.
