A couple of new TV series promos worth a look today.
First, HBO has released the promo which aired during the Emmys for Damon Lindelof’s “Watchmen” series which premieres October 20th. The clip highlights The Seventh Kalvary and their goal to start a war against masked heroes.
Serving as a sequel to the graphic novel, the series includes Jeremy Irons as an older Ozymandias, Regina King, Don Johnson, Louis Gossett Jr., Tim Blake Nelson, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sara Vickers, Tom Mison, Jean Smart and James Wolk.
Next, Showtime has premiered the official trailer for the seventh season of its Liev Schreiber-led award-winning series “Ray Donovan” which returns to the network on Sunday, November 17th.
Season seven finds Ray working to be the man his family needs him to be. While he makes progress with Dr. Amiot (Alan Alda), there are dangers from the past that require the Ray Donovan of old. Josh Hamilton, Kerry Condon and Louisa Krause all have recurring roles.
The CW has released an extended trailer for the upcoming eighth and final season of “Arrow” with a bunch of new footage from the series and its setup of the Crisis event. The final season of “Arrow” premieres October 15th.
Finally, Facebook Watch has released a trailer for mystery thriller “Limetown” starring Jessica Biel and based on the popular podcast of the same name. The series launches October 16th and follows a journalist (Biel) with American Public Radio as she tries to figure out how 300 people disappeared with no explanation at a neuroscience research community in Tennessee. Stanley Tucci and Marlee Matlin co-star.
