Nancy Stephens will reprise her role of Nurse Marion Chambers from the original 1978 “Halloween” film for “Halloween Kills,” the upcoming sequel to last year’s revival.
Stephens joins numerous returnees from the original film including Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace. The characters of Tommy Doyle and Lonnie Elam are also returning, though Anthony Michael Hall and Robert Longstreet are taking over those parts.
Filmmaker and composer John Carpenter is also returning to consult and compose the score. Much of the same team behind last year’s revival is back for this second film to open next year and a third one titled “Halloween Ends” opening in 2021.
Stephens’ Marion Chambers appeared not just in the original film but also in the first sequel “Halloween II” and had a cameo in the opening sequence of 1998’s “Halloween H20: 20 Years Later” opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt. However the 2018 revival film ignores the continuity of every other sequel and reboot preceding it.
David Gordon Green helms and co-wrote the script with Danny McBride and Scott Teems.
