After playing the character four times between 2011 and 2019, actress Jennifer Lawrence says she’s done playing “X-Men” character Mystique.

In a new interview with Allure magazine, the actress made it fairly clear that not only wouldn’t she return to the role, but she’s done undergoing extreme makeup character transformations.

Speaking with the outlet, she says her favorite part of playing Mystique was the stunts and that her stunt double, Renee Moneymaker, also worked with her in the Katniss Everdeen role in “The Hunger Games” franchise.

Then she was asked if she would consider doing heavy prosthetic work like Mystique again, to which she responded:

“Never say never, but absolutely fucking not. You know how air brushing is very cold? And I am ticklish. I learned how little sleep I can operate on and what can happen to the human mind when you’ve actually reached your breaking point. And patience!”

She adds that for “X-Men: First Class,” the make-up job was “all body paint and glue,” took eight hours every time, and the multiple dye jobs she did for her screen test permanently damaged her hair. She added “no one will understand what I went through.”
