Production is already underway on Lionsgate’s reboot of the “Power Rangers” franchise with the studio seemingly so excited about what they’ve seen that they’re already planning ahead – WAY ahead.
Speaking on their annual analyst and investor conference call, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer expressed his excitement to the point of indicating how many sequels they have in mind: “We are really really excited about the ‘Power Rangers’ movie. We could see doing five or six or seven.”
The story follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. The Dean Israelite-directed film is currently shooting in Vancouver ahead of a March 24th 2017 release.
