Black Bear has premiered the teaser trailer for writer-director Guy Ritchie’s newest film “Wife and Dog” which boasts an all-star cast led by Benedict Cumberbatch and Rosamund Pike.
The story is set within the world of the wealthy British Fairbank family and their associates. Relentless greed has brought power and money, but also betrayal and murder in the battle for succession.
As the bitter feud bubbles up beneath its public facade, long-buried grudges begin to surface. Whereas Ritchie films are normally fairly tongue in cheek or fun, this one seems to have a much more serious tone.
The stacked cast also includes Anthony Hopkins, Cosmo Jarvis, James Norton, Paddy Considine and Pip Torrens.
The project also sees various behind the scenes talents from Ritchie’s “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” reunite including composer Christopher Benstead, cinematographer Ed Wild and editor James Herbert.
Ritchie, John Friedberg and Ivan Atkinson produce the film which is scheduled to be released on February 19th 2027.
