Robert Mark Kamen (“Taken”) will pen the script for the action thriller “The Lord’s Day” for Sony Pictures and Atlas Entertainment says Reuters.
The story centers on a hostage takeover of Britain’s House of Lords by terrorists on the first day of a legislative session. Harry Jones, a member of Parliament who is also a former ranking military officer, attempts to stop the terrorists, and uncovers a more complex and consequential global conspiracy than anyone could have suspected.
Based on a novel by Michael Dobbs, Charles Roven and Steve Alexander will produce the project. The plan is to create a franchise character-based film.
