A24 has unveiled the full trailer for the horror thriller “Undertone” starring Nina Kiri (“The Handmaid’s Tale”).
Canadian filmmaker Ian Tuason penned and directed the film, which follows Evy, a woman who hosts a popular paranormal podcast with her friend Justin (Adam DiMarco), where she is the skeptic to his believer.
After moving back home to become caregiver to her dying mother (Michèle Duquet), she is sent series of terrifying recordings of a married couple experiencing paranormal noises in their home, drawing Evy into fear and paranoia.
Kiri will be the only cast member to be shown on-screen; the rest of the cast will just lend their voices. Also starring are Keana Lyn Bastidas as Jessa, Jeff Yung as Mike, Sarah Beaudin as Abby and Brian Quintero as Dr. Ram.
“Undertone” had its world premiere at the 2025 Fantasia Film Festival, with A24 acquiring the worldwide rights to the film through a competitive bidding war.
It will now open in cinemas on March 13th 2026 and is currently at an 87% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
