Dramatic Labs has announced a May 23rd release date for “Star Trek: Resurgence,” the interactive narrative adventure game set in the Next Generation era.
The project marks the first game from the publisher formed by a team of industry veterans, including twenty former Telltale Games developers who worked on that company’s “The Walking Dead” and “The Wolf Among Us” game titles.
Set shortly after the events of “Star Trek: Nemesis,” the action unfolds on board the USS Resolute. In the game, a worker uprising threatens the tenuous peace between two alien civilizations, and Starfleet is forced to intervene.
Players assume the role of two characters – First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz – in order to solve the larger mystery in play.
Rydek is part of the diplomatic envoy led by Ambassador Spock tasked with finding a resolution – and uncovering the ultimate source of the situation. Diaz gets caught up in events in his own unique way from the lower decks perspective.
Throughout, players will immerse themselves in the “Star Trek” universe and interact with new and returning characters through dialogue and action gameplay to determine the course of the story.
The title will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and on Epic Game Store on PC.
