Netflix has premiered the trailer for “Florida Man,” a limited crime series set in one of the most colorful American states as things quickly go south for one man.
Dubbed a wild odyssey into a sunny place for shady people, Ramirez plays a struggling ex-cop who is forced to return to his home state to find a Philadelphia mobster’s runaway girlfriend.
What should be a quick gig becomes a wildly spiralling journey into buried family secrets, and an increasingly futile attempt to do the right thing in a place where so much is wrong.
Anthony LaPaglia, Abbey Lee, Otmara Marrero, Lex Scott Davis, and Emory Cohen, Clark Gregg, Isaiah Johnson, Paul Schneider, and Lauren Buglioli co-star.
The project hails from creator Donald Todd (“This Is Us”) who serves as showrunner and co-executive produces with Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Miguel Arteta.
RamÃrez was most recently seen in “Jungle Cruise” and “The 355” and will appear later this year in the film adaptation of the “Borderlands” video game franchise.
The seven episode series has its debut on Netflix on April 13th.
