“The Crown” star Emma Corrin has joined the cast of both Marvel’s third “Deadpool” film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, and Robert Eggers’ vampire movie “Nosferatu”.
Specifics of both roles are under wraps, but with “Deadpool 3” it’s believed Corrin will play the lead villain character in the project which has Shawn Levy on board to direct with Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese penning the script.
The new Deadpool, the first official one in the MCU, brings back Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and sees him teamed up with Reynolds’ merc with a mouth in what is being dubbed Marvel Studios’ first R-rated feature.
Further plot specifics for the highly anticipated feature are under wraps. Filming on that begins later this year ahead of a November 2024 release date in cinemas.
Before that Corrin will shoot “The Northman” and “The Lighthouse” director Eggers’ “Nosferatu” which begins filming next month in Europe for Focus Features. Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd will play an ancient, nocturnal Transylvanian vampire count who desires Lily Rose-Depp’s haunted young woman.
The new take on F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent horror feature of the same name, itself a cinematic version of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” will co-star Nicholas Hoult and Willem Defoe.
Corrin played Lady Diana Spencer in the fourth season of “The Crown” opposite Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles. They also recently starred alongside Harry Styles in “My Policeman” and Jack O’Connell in “Lady Chatterley’s Lover”.
