Jonathan Majors (“Loki,” “Lovecraft Country”) will star in a film adaptation of the Walter Mosley novel “The Man In My Basement” for Tall Street Productions and Protagonist Pictures.

The story follows Charles Blakey, an African American man living in Sag Harbor who is unemployed and about to lose his ancestral home.

A peculiar white businessman with a European accent named Anniston Bennet offers to rent his basement for the summer for a whopping $50,000 in cash.

The lucrative proposition leads Charles down a terrifying path that takes him to the heart of race, history and the root of all evil.

Majors will also serve as an executive producer with filming to begin this Fall. Nadia Latif will make her directorial debut and co-wrote the script with Rawlins.

Majors is currently in production on “Creed III” and recently wrapped his work on Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania”.
